Halo 5: Guardians - 2015 *SPOILERS*

I've never really been a big fan of the Halo games, (I just found the controls to hard to switch to after playing Call of Duty) but I know there are a lot of people that really like the game and are waiting for this new game to be released. Although the game is scheduled to be released Fall 2015, there is all ready a lot of chatter about the specs and game-play. The game is introducing a new character (which might I add looks a bit like
a girl on the cover) as seen on the cover of the Halo 5 game. Some speculations about the new character have popped up, some have even said that it might be Cortana, Master Chiefs partner in Halo 4 who died before the Master Chief returned to Earth. But Josh Holmes, the executive producer there at 343 Industries, clarified on Twitter that the  blue-visored Spartan is in fact NOT Cortana (or Palmer), rather, "He's a NEW character."
Well isn't this exciting news! They've also said that the beta testing will start in December of 2014. So there aren't any game-play videos out yet sadly.
Here is the original Twitter post by Josh Holmes:

They've also made this little noticable fact about the Spartans armor, on his left chest armor there is a ONI symbol on it (If you have absolutely no idea what ONI is go here http://www.halopedia.org/Office_of_Naval_Intelligence) Just a quick overview on The Office of Naval Intelligence, they ARE known to be sneaky and unlawful people within the games. This is only really a theory, yes they (someone) zoomed in far enough to see this it's not to say that someone simply Photoshopped the logo onto the Spartans armor, but there's no saying what's right or wrong with so little details to run off of. With this in mind many players that believe the logo is actually there do believe this is bad news. You can see the logo for yourself right here:
You can't tell me this guy doesn't look feminine. I mean if you've actually seen the Master Chief, and compared these two, you can see the serious differences. You can argue compare the two and argue me with it here if you'd like, but I'm not changing my opinion, just sayin'.
Still there isn't much to say about the campaign plot, or well, anything else. But 343 Industries has also said that there will the long loved multiplayer mode added back to the game. It will include seven small, enclosed maps specially designed for 4v4 combat rounds. Honestly, I might try Halo again, just because of all the good things I've heard about some of the previous games.

New Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL

I'm sure there are already a lot of people that know about the new Nintendo 3DS that's supposed to be coming out anytime now. Nintendo decided that they were going to release a new DS for a better gaming experience and although there aren't a lot of visual differences there are quite a few internal upgrades.

On the outside of the original DS Nintendo added an analog stick for a better control, although they did keep this great feature on the new model, they also added a mini one cleverly placed right above the x button on the right side of the DS. With that said, you can also see that the speakers on the upper screen are arranged
differently than the original 3DS. There are also 2 new shoulder buttons on both sides of the device, which Nintendo deems useful, but I'm not so sure many gamers are going to be using them unless necessary. There are a lot of people saying that the new handhelds are going to be much larger, but, with the Nintendos latest sneak peeks, the new 3ds is going to be about 5mm larger than the original one.

Of course with all new popular technology Nintendo claims longer battery life, but for how long? The new 3DS will have the same 3DS screen but they have allowed it, while on 3D mode, to be viewed from more
angles. They also improved the cpu speed, for faster lag free gaming experiences. One of the most exciting bits of this new arrival is the new amiibo compatible screen. The newer games will include the amiibo toys to place on the screen of the 3DS to place a character inside the game. If you've ever played Skylanders with the "Portal of Power" this is basically what it is. One of the latest games that has already been integrated to come with these amiibo toys is the new Super Smash Bros but of course you need the new 3DS for that. The release date was October 11th in Japan, but there hasn't been a scheduled date for the U.S. But I wouldn't get to excited because there are already people complaining about the handheld being over exaggerated.

If they really want to get the DS lovers excited and buying the new console they need to follow this concept art! Made by Olivier Demangel, a professional graphic designer who created this concept art for later Nintendo 3DS upgrades.

*PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT THE REAL 3DS. THIS ONLY CONCEPT ART*

You can check out the official Nintendo page here:

Rise of the Tomb Raider 2015

I've never really actually played tomb raider, so I don't know a lot about the game play at all really, but I do remember playing one of the games on the Playstation 1 with my brothers. The only thing I really remember is Lara Croft fighting a tiger that just randomly came out from a cave... yeah we died a lot on that part. Anyways from what I can remember and watching the trailers and game play videos there isn't a lot that has changed, except for the graphics and plot, and characters and the setting... yeah not much has changed. I'm sure you guys can find a lot more that's changed in this awesome new game than I can.

Just to start out if you've never in your life played a single Tomb Raider game I'll tell you about the most recent released game. It was Tomb Raider (2013) for the PC, and Xbox 360. The gist of it was that Lara Croft (the main character) set out on an adventure to find the lost kingdom of Yamatai with a large(ish) crew on the ship Endurance. During their little voyage they get stuck in a Japanese version of the Bermuda Triangle, called the Dragon's Triangle a giant storm comes destroys the ship and Lara Croft is the only person left. She finds a creepy island with a bunch of long lost inhabitants still living on it but eventually finds some other survivors. They get captured a couple times and the island won't let anyone leave. Lara is betrayed by Whitman, one of the survivors, and they have to give chase to stop Whitman from letting Sam, once again another survivor, be sacrificed to the Sun Queen. In the end everything ends up okay. She went from a naïve 21 year old girl to a pro survivor, but her mental state really crumbled at the beginning of Rise of the Tomb Raider.

 Lara Croft (Tomb Raider 2013)
Crystal Dynamics really killed us with the Rise of the Tomb Raider description. Heres what they said
"In her first adventure, Lara Croft was forged into a true survivor, but she glimpsed a deeper, secret world. In the next chapter of her journey, Lara must use her survival skills and wits, learn to trust new friends, and ultimately accept her destiny as the Tomb Raider. Featuring epic, high-octane action moments, Rise of the Tomb Raider will take gamers to multiple locations around the world filled with exploration spaces that are some of the most beautifully hostile places on earth. In addition, after hearing the cry from fans loud and clear, the game will put the tombs back into Tomb Raider, all in the franchise's gritty Survival-Action style."
I didn't think they were going to tell us anything in the first few sentences then I saw the "Featuring epic, high-octane action moments" and I flipped. The thing that I'm most excited about though (and you should be to) is that their "adding the tombs back in Tomb Raider". Slow clap for CD (Crystal Dynamics)... slow clap. Just to ruin the moment...this game is only going to be available on the Xbox One sadly. But hopefully if you don't have an Xbox One just go over to your friends house that does have one so you can place this amazing game. No doubt the game play is going to be great, I hope you guys will enjoy this game just as much as I did when I played it on the Playstation and please leave some comments about your Tomb Raider memories and if you think this is going to be a good reboot game!

Also, heres some concept art and the trailers for the 2013 and 2015 games.

Mortal Kombat X 2015 Release

Although this game has been known for it's gore and violence it's still a great game. Mortal Kombat X will be the 10th game release in the Mortal Kombat series. Developed by NetherRealm Studios this game is platformed for PC, Playstation2, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and the Xbox One. There isn't much info on the game yet but if you've played the previous games you know it'll be mostly the same. So far we know it's going to feature even more spectacularly gruesome fatalities. Unlike the past Mortal Kombat games this game will allow interaction with the environment and you will be able to switch between three different forms with even more unique special abilities.
I can't go through all the new characters but here are a few:

Kotal Kahn
Judging by the last name Kotal Kahn is related to Shao Kahn, and he absolutely fights like him as well. Kotal's appearance is a bit different than Shao's. Kotal seems to represent an Aztec God more than anything and Shao's previous appearance was more of a bone gladiator like character with a Thor like hammer.

Scorpion
By far my favorite character from the entire game Scorpion, who is featured as one of the 7 playable characters in the original game, his main role is to destroy Sub-Zero for his murder. Scorpion is one of the series' signature characters, which is why I love him so much, and also because he looks pretty epic on so many levels.

and the last but definitely not least,

Cassie Cage
Her very first appearance in this game, Cassie Cage is the daughter of Sonya Blade and Johnny Cage. Since she is a new player there isn't a biography or storyline for her but we have made a few inferences. It is seen that she is wearing a police like uniform and she wears dog tags hinting that she was in the military and law enforcement, and some support for that is that her weapons are a Nightstick and a Hand gun... yup definetley an officer.

Now that you've seen a few of the characters go check out the official site (remember this is an age restricted game viewer discretion is advised):

Batman: Arkham Knight 2015 Sneak Peek!

I'm sure a bunch of people have already heard about the new Batman: Arkham Knight. And I'm also sure you were all pretty pissed when they decided to push the release date back to early 2015, but for good causes. Rocksteady, the company, stated that they pushed it back to give gamers a better experience. Not sure if this helps, or just makes it even worse. Although there have been a lot of rumors about the official release date it's been made official that it will be released June 2nd, 2015. Theres a lot of excitement about one particular feature in the game though, the Batmobile.

Yes, the Batmobile. The new trailer for the game was released and it is ALL about the Batmobile. And the most exciting part about this is that this will be the very first game in the Batman: Arkham series that the mobile will be drivable, which some suspect might be hinting at a new game mode titled "Batmobile Battle Mode Reveal."

I'm sure after watching the trailer showing off the mobiles new features your all fired up.
I'm not going to sit here and explain each feature because I know you can read, because your reading this. So that's basically all I have to say about the Batmobile. Now on to the actual game.

In the official trailer they give you a whole father to son note about Bruce Wayne's father and what he wanted Bruce to do with all the money that he left behind. It's pretty serious and sentimental, but Batman is epic no matter what, so it makes it hard to cry, not that I'd expect you to. They don't make it the crying type anyways. It doesn't really show you any special game play, just the graphics, Batman being epic in his new car, and his awesome suit that he shows off in the display case in his underwater lair. Oh wait I haven't shown you the official trailer yet... oops.

Here is the video you've all been waiting for! Now do you see what I'm talking about? That super awesome secret underwater lair that Bruce somehow comes out of without getting his O.P car wet is the best part about the game trailer. I don't know what I love about it so much. I just do.

Now that you've listened to me babble on about how I love the lair, you now know that further towards the end of the trailer Batman starts fighting a bunch of the enemies, just a little game play show for ya. But if that's not enough I leave some game play for you to watch.

A NEW Legend of Zelda Game?! 2015 Sneak Peek!

I know I've been talking a LOT about Nintendo, but I just couldn't resist writing something about the new Legend of Zelda game that's ACTUALLY made by Nintendo.
Turns out it's supposed to be released in 2015 exclusively for the Wii-U. It's supposed to be a sequel to the much loved Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword released in 2011 for the Wii. Not many details have been released about the title or the plot of the game but here is the main idea.

The game will feature an "open world" which is new compared to the past LoZ games. Although this isn't new to the gaming universe, LoZ has NEVER done anything like it. They've always used the set path Link takes. There will be boundaries on how far you can go through the map and which 'portals' you can walk through but the player does have to choose which path they will take to get to the next stage. Their not changing it all though, LoZ veterans still get the nostalgia of fighting off monsters and bosses while trying to fight to the next level. It's a good thing Nintendo stirred it up a little though, attracting new players to the newer games wouldn't be easy if all they saw was the same plot, different world ads. And as I said before in my other article Nintendo has been slowing down, so this game will definitely help them in the market.
As I said there aren't many details but as soon as I get more I'll update.

There are already a few game play pictures so heres a couple to get you fired up... not that you weren't already.

I hope you guys are as excited for this game as I am, I'll update tomorrow and enjoy my other articles!

Hyrule Warriors Wii U!

Hopefully you've read the welcome message (a.k.a my first post)  and understand at least a part of what this blog is about. Since I'm a really big gamer I want to start with a little introduction to the new Legend of Zelda game that was just released. If you're not a fan of The Legend of Zelda, or video games at all, you don't have to read this! But remember that video games aren’t the only thing I'm going to be writing about. Anyways getting into the new Hyrule Warriors game... oh wait did I just tell you what it was?! Oops, It was supposed to be a surprise, I'm sure if you're a fan of the LoZ then you already knew what I was going to say.
Starting off, this game wasn't made by Nintendo, sadly it's an "off brand" game, which means that the company can change whatever they want with the game, as long as it's still carrying the game name and the main characters. I mean seriously no one would like it if you just killed of Link, that would end Link and Zelda's adorable relationship! It would leave Zelda heartbroken on the steps of her castle and the whole story line would be RUINED! Anyways I have a few spoilers for the game if you haven't already played it. I also have some pictures that I'm sure will be appealing to the eye *wink wink*

First things first, the new LoZ game added a new character into the game named Lana... no one really knows where she came from she just appeared in the game play. Don't ask why, it just happened. Anyways, getting into the other characters, they added an enormous amount of playable characters, originally it was just Link, Midna, and Wolf Link. But only Link in most of the games, excluding Twilight Princess. A few of the new playable characters are Impa, totally O.P Zelda, Link (of course), and Darunia. (if you don't remember who Darunia is, he was first introduced in Ocarina of Time, the big Goron that wouldn't give you the fire stone, yea pretty annoying, I know). If you want to check out the other characters and some awesome game play check out the official website http://zelda.com/hyrule-warriors/characters/

The second thing I wanted to say was about Nintendo… a lot of people have been saying that Nintendo as a whole has began to slow down… in everything. Their being really slow in actually releasing new games, and most of them are just the re-platformed games… a.k.a Super Smash Bros for the 3DS. I’m not against the game or anything, I actually happen to love SSB, buuuut… they’re really not releasing any high quality games anymore. What do you guys think? Leave some comments and tell me what you think about Nintendo's progress and their chosen dates to release new games. Also feel free to tell me what you thought about the New LoZ game, if you’ve played it or if you think it’s going to be good!
Heres Link with his new look, Love the Scarf Link, Love it!
Heres Darunia the Goron showin' off some of his moves from Hyrule Warriors

Thanks for reading! Stay awesome my friends!
